Michigan Wolverines football is playing Iowa for the Big Ten championship Saturday night in Indianapolis. Follow along below for live updates from the game.

Live updates: Michigan vs. Iowa

• Final: Michigan 26, Iowa 0. Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti will have to hand the championship trophy to Jim Harbaugh.

• 4Q, 3:38 — James Turner makes his fourth field goal of the day, a 50-yarder (tying his career high) to push the Wolverines edge to 26-0.

• 4Q, 9:14 — Michigan wasn’t able to cash in with a touchdown but did hit another field goal from James Turner, this one from 36 yards out. The Wolverines lead 23-0.

• 4Q, 10:57 — Michigan forces its third fumble of the game (Braiden McGregor dislodged the ball) and Kenneth Grant recovered at the 15-yard line.

• 4Q, 12:13 — Michigan punts it back to Iowa, which takes over on its own 15-yard line.

• End of the third quarter: Michigan 20, Iowa 0

• 3Q, 0:22 — Michigan goes on a 9-play, 28-yard drive after forcing the turnover on downs. James Turner nailed a 46-yard field goal to push the Wolverines’ lead to 20-0.

• 3Q, 5:08 — Iowa tries a QB sneak on 4th and less than a yard, and the Michigan defense holds. The Wolverines take over on their own 43-yard line.

• 3Q, 9:09 — Blake Corum scores his 55th career rushing touchdown, tying Michigan’s all-time record. The Wolverines lead 17-0, capitalizing off the turnover.

• 3Q, 9:14 — Michigan has the ball, forcing its second turnover of the game. Mike Sainristil with his second forced fumble of the night, and U-M recovered at the 6-yard line.

• 3Q, 10:03 — Not including the drive at the end of the first half, Michigan has punted on five straight possessions. Iowa starts on its own 6-yard line after Tommy Doman pinned the Hawkeyes deep.

• Half: Michigan 10, Iowa 0. The Wolverines punted four times and amassed only 111 total yards in the first half.

• 2Q, 0:46 — Colston Loveland dropped a beautiful pass over the middle on third down, and Michigan’s attempt at a two-minute scoring drive fizzles out. The Wolverines punted away and Iowa takes over at its own 24-yard line.

• 2Q, 3:44 — Tommy Doman responds by booming a punt that was fair caught at the Iowa 9-yard line. Michigan failed to pick up third down when J.J. McCarthy’s pass to Colston Loveland fell incomplete along the Hawkeye sideline. The Wolverines have now punted on three straight drives.

• 2Q, 5:09 — The Michigan defense comes up huge, with Mike Sainristil forcing a fumble that was recovered by Kris Jenkins. The Wolverines take over on their own 29-yard line. The Iowa lost fumble came on third down.

• 2Q, 6:00 — J.J. McCarthy took a third-down sack for a loss of 16-yards, and Tommy Doman shanked his punt, that also got an unfortunate bounce for Michigan, for 25 yards. Iowa has the ball on the U-M 38-yard line, its best field position of the day.

• 2Q, 7:16 — Michigan forces another Iowa three-and-out and takes over on its own 28-yard line.

• 2Q, 8:59 — Michigan punts it back to Iowa, with the Wolverines being stopped for the first time tonight. Iowa takes over on its own 20-yard line after a block in the back penalty negated a 13-yard return.

• 2Q, 13:24 — Michigan will start on its own 20-yard line after Tory Taylor’s punt went into the end zone for a touchback. The Wolverines got another stop defensively, with Mike Sainristil nearly jumping the third-down route for an interception. The ball fell incomplete instead.

• 1Q, 1:07 — Semaj Morgan is Michigan’s punt returner to start a game for the first time this season, and he just delivered with an 87-yard punt return. Two plays into the drive, Blake Corum punched in a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Wolverines a 10-0 lead.

 • 1Q, 6:01 — Michigan decides to kick a 35-yard field goal, and James Turner makes the kick. The Wolverines take a 3-0 lead after a 13-play drive that took 7:35.

• 1Q, 6:19 — Michigan has already picked up one fourth down on this drive and faces another, 4th and 1 from the Iowa 17-yard line. Center Drake Nugent is down on the field being tended to. He has now walked off slowly under his own power.

• 1Q, 13:36 — Michigan forces a three and out. Semaj Morgan is in at punt returner and fair caught at the Iowa 31-yard line, where the Wolverines will begin their drive.

• Michigan has won the toss and chose to defer its choice to the second half. Iowa will receive to begin the game.

Series Facts: This is Michigan’s third consecutive appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Wolverines defeated Iowa 42-3 in 2021 and beat Purdue 43-22 a year ago. U-M is looking to capture its league-leading 45th Big Ten Championship and third in as many seasons. This will be the 64th meeting between Michigan and Iowa. U-M holds a 44-15-4 lead in the all-time series and has won 15- of the last 23 games against the Hawkeyes. In the last meeting between the teams, Michigan won 27-14 in Iowa City on Oct. 1, 2022.
