Wolverine: TV: Game clips of On300 Michigan LB commit Jaden Smith
Michigan linebacker commit Jaden Smith recorded six tackles and blocked a punt in his senior season opener, leading Charlotte (N.C.) West Charlotte to a 28-19 win over Charlotte (N.C.) Palisades.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Smith in the video above.
Smith recruitment
An On300 prospect, Smith notched an offer from Michigan during the spring evaluation period after linebackers coach Chris Partridge stopped by his high school. He eventually committed to U-M in June over offers from Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, USC, Virginia Tech and others.
Smith has remained solid throughout the summer and is set to be back at Michigan for an unofficial visit next month when the Wolverines take on Bowling Green.
At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Smith is ranked as the No. 17 linebacker and No. 248 overall prospect nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the state of North Carolina this cycle.
