NC State just landed a commitment from a potentially game-changing wide receiver. Former Rice standout Bradley Rozner is running with the Wolfpack.

After entering the transfer portal earlier this summer, NC State quickly emerged as a top contender and wrapped up his recruitment quickly. The receiver will join the Wolfpack for his eighth season of college football.

Rozner dealt with injuries over a lengthy college career that began at Cisco College in 2016. When he is on the field, he is incredibly productive.

During the 2018 season, his first full year of college football, he emerged as an honorable mention JUCO All-American before transferring to Rice. His Division-I debut was a memorable all-conference campaign where he caught 55 passes for 770 yards.

Over the next couple of seasons, he made the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, an honor given to the nation’s top wide receiver, twice but missed the majority of both years due to injury.

Rozner then caught 44 passes for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2022 season. Last season, he would have been the Wolfpack’s leading receiver by more than 200 yards. He averaged 19.91 yards per catch which, per his Rice bio, ranked No. 4 with receivers who hauled in at least 40 passes.

The receiver also previously competed for the Rice men’s track and field program, recording the No. 12 high jump in program history, as of July 22, 2021.

In his LinkedIn bio, Rozner shared his path to Division-I college football.

“After graduating high school, I went to Cisco Junior College in pursuit of of my dream of playing collegiate football. After suffering a season ending injury in the second game of the season, I was forced to redshirt and sit out the rest of the season contemplating if I was skilled enough and had the capability to keep going.

“The following spring I suffered another season ending injury. I was told, ‘In order to stay on the team, I would have to pay my dues.’ The next summer and fall, I did everything I could to stay on the team. I washed all of the team’s practice and game clothes, filmed countless hours of games and practices, passed out equipment and made sure everyone had everything they needed to be successful. The following season, I was cleared to play and nominated team captain and was also a Junior College All-American.

“I received the opportunity to come to Rice University and receive a world class education. I am currently trying to enter the Master of Accounting program while also playing football and running track and field. Through all of this, I learned perseverance and always believing in yourself.”
