It’s high school all-star game week around the country, and NC State wide receiver signee Terrell Anderson made his mark at All-American Bowl practice in San Antonio on Tuesday.

Anderson, who will arrive in Raleigh after the game, impressed in rainy conditions with the West team Tuesday. He was named On3’s No. 2 performer for his squad, trailing Texas quarterback signee Trey Owens, who threw him the ball all day.

“During a downpour, it should be expected for receivers to have a tough time catching the football consistently. But for Terrell Anderson, it was a non-issue,” On3’s Cody Belaire wrote. Anderson showed his natural ball tracking during the routes-on-air portion of practice. Then he followed that with some dominant 1-on-1 reps where he created space and worked himself open on nearly every route even though the passes may have not been on target.”

“But during the team period he showed just how dominant he could be at the catch point,” Belaire continued. “He caught a pass over the middle of the field from Texas signee Trey Owens in an extremely heavy rain. And then he came down with a contested catch on the following drive. He showed tremendous poise and consistency in heinous conditions where other receivers struggled to function. Anderson put on a show and will look to continue showing out for the remainder of the week.”

Anderson is one of two NC State signees playing at the All-American Bowl this week. Four-star linebacker Elijah Groves is playing with the East team this week.

Quote of the day

NC State men’s basketball signee Trey Parker went back to Overtime Elite for the 2023-24 season. So far, it seems like that has paid off for the future Wolfpack guard.

“I think just his habits as a basketball player [have improved],” Overtime Elite Cold Hearts coach Tim Fanning said. “He’s in the gym more working on his game, he’s more focused. I wasn’t with him last year, but even from the start of this year to now, he’s really improved in all of the invisible aspects of the game that I think a lot of guys overlook. I think it’s starting to click for him and it’s just starting to show on the court.”
