Marcus Mascoll, one of the top prospects on NC State’s recruiting board, set his commitment for June 19. He will announce his decision one day after wrapping up a June 16-18 official visit to see the Wolfpack.

Following his June 2-4 LSU official, Mascoll announced a top three of NC State, Florida and the Tigers. The three-star offensive tackle visited the Gators June 9-11. LSU holds an overwhelming lead in the Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 93.6 percent.

His NC State official visit will be his second time on campus this year after he stopped by for an April 7 spring visit. Mascoll said he has always been interested in NC State, and the trip to Raleigh left him impressed.

“It pretty much exceeded my expectations,” Mascoll said.

Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren took a personal role in the tackle’s recruitment during his visit.

“He just kept reminding me ‘You’re a need and a want,’” Mascoll said. “It means a lot. They believe in me. I feel like a priority to them.”

On3 considers Mascoll the No. 28 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 41 prospect in Georgia.

The people on campus helped set the Wolfpack apart for defensive line commit Chase Bond.

NC State DL commit Chase Bond committed to the Wolfpack shortly after receiving an offer.

His trip to Raleigh helped make that a quick decision.

The Wolfpack extended an offer to class of 2024 cornerback Jaren Sensabaugh Tuesday. He had an outstanding day at camp last week and also holds offers from Duke and Marshall.
