Pack Pros: Jacoby Brissett leads Commanders to near comeback win off the bench

It was another full weekend of NFL football, which means NC State’s Pack Pros were all in action for their respective teams, which included a near comeback win for quarterback Jacoby Brissett off the bench.

Here’s a look at how the Pack Pros did in their games this weekend.

Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), #56 Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury played all 54 snaps at center in the Vikings’ 30-24 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), #12 Washington Commanders: Brissett was 10-of-13 passing for 100 yards and a touchdown off the bench as he helped lead the Commanders on an attempted comeback win in a 30-28 loss to the New York Jets. The signal-caller came off the bench to lead Washington down the field on three touchdown drives to take the lead late in the game, but the Jets were able to win on a late field goal.

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), #2 Miami Dolphins: Chubb logged four total tackles, including three solo stops, with 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits in the Dolphins’ 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys. 

Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), #6 Las Vegas Raiders: Cole logged six punts for 271 yards in the Raiders’ 20-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He averaged 45.2 yards per kick with three boots inside the 20-yard line. He had a long of 50 yards in the victory against a couple Pack Pros.

Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), #79 Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played all 66 snaps at left tackle in the Panthers 33-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He received an above average grade from PFF at a 71.0 mark.

Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), #16 Chicago Bears: Gill logged five punts for 260 yards with a touchback and two inside the 20-yard line in the Bears’ 27-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He boomed a long of 76 yards in the victory,

Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), #92 Cincinnati Bengals: Hill logged eight total tackles with three solo stops in the Bengals’ 34-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had one quarterback hit as well.

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), #0 Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason. 

Safety Tanner Ingle (2018-22), #34 Los Angeles Rams : Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), #93 Chicago Bears: Jones logged two total tackles with a sack and a quarterback hit in the Bears’ 27-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.

Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), #28 Detroit Lions: Knight is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. He had one catch for eight yards, and three carries for 13 yards in his two appearances with the Lions this season. 

Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), #44 New York Giants: McCloud logged four total tackles in the Giants’ 33-25 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Day. 

Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), #96 San Francisco 49ers: McGill logged one quarterback hit in the 49ers’ 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. 

Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), #54 Detroit Lions: McNeill did not play in the Lions’ 30-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), #16 Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers led the Raiders with three receptions for 42 yards in the Raiders’ 20-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He was targeted five times with a long of 21 yards in the Christmas Day victory against a couple Pack Pros.

Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (2018-19), #52 Los Angeles Rams: Murchison logged two total tackles, both solo stops, in the Rams’ 30-22 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Cornerback Derrek Pitts Jr. (2021-22), #38 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Pitts did not play in the Buccaneers’ 30-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (2014-18), #57 Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt logged five total tackles, including two solo stops, in the Bengals’ 34-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday.

Defensive end James Smith-Williams (2016-19), #96 Washington Commanders: Smith-Williams logged three tackles, all solo stops, in the Commanders’ 30-28 loss to the New York Jets. He also logged a tackle for a loss in the defeat.

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street (2014-17), #75 Atlanta Falcons: Street did not play in the Falcons’ 29-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts. 

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), #42 Seattle Seahawks: Thomas was placed on the Seahawks’ injured reserve with a knee injury. 

Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), #89 Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.

Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), #62 Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played all 75 snaps in the Chiefs’ 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders alongside fellow Pack Pros Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), #11 Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling did not record a catch on one target in the Chiefs’ 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day against a couple Pack Pros.

Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), #3 Denver Broncos: Wilson was 25-of-37 passing for 238 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos’ 26-23 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. He was sacked five times and logged a passer rating of 103.2.

Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), #62 Carolina Panthers: Zavala did not play in the Panthers’ 33-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
