Pack Pros: Russell Wilson leads Denver Broncos to 21-point comeback win

It was another full weekend of NFL football, which means NC State’s Pack pros were all in action for their respective teams, which included quarterback Russell Wilson leading the Denver Broncos on to a 21-point comeback win.

Here’s a look at how the Pack pros did in their games this weekend.

Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury missed the Vikings’ 21-13 win at the Carolina Panthers with a back injury. He’s been limited to just seven snaps this fall. 

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), Washington Commanders: Brissett is the Commanders’ primary backup, and did not see action in the team’s 34-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), Miami Dolphins: Chubb recorded two tackles, one solo, and a quarterback hit in the Dolphins’ 48-20 loss at the Buffalo Bills. 

Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), Las Vegas Raiders: The former Wolfpack specialist punted five times for 269 yards in the Raiders’ 24-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He had three punts inside the 20-yard line, and boomed a 70-yarder. 

Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played 72 snaps in the Panthers’ 21-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He earned a 70.4 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus for his performance. Ekwonu played alongside fellow Pack Pro Chandler Zavala in the loss.

Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), Chicago Bears: Gill’s services weren’t needed often in the Bears’ 31-28 loss to the Denver Broncos. He pointed twice for 90 yards, landed one kick inside the 20-yard line, and kicked a long of 56 yards.

Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), Cincinnati Bengals: Hill recorded one tackle, a half of sack, in the Bengals 27-3 loss at the Tennessee Titans. 

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason. 

Safety Tanner Ingle, Los Angeles Rams (2018-22): Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), Chicago Bears: Jones logged four tackles, two of which were solo, in the Bears’ 31-28 loss to the Denver Broncos.  

Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.

Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), Detroit Lions: Knight was inactive for the Lions’ 34-20 win over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. 

Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), New York Giants: McCloud recovered a puffed punt in the Giants’ 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in special teams duty on Monday night.

Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), San Francisco 49ers: McGill plays on the 49ers practice squad.

Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), Detroit Lions: McNeill had a big day for the Lions’ in the team’s 34-20 win over the Green Bay Packers. The defensive lineman recorded two tackles, both for a loss, including a sack. He also recorded two quarterback hits to keep pressure in the backfield. 

Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers logged two catches for 33 yards in the Raiders’ 24-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He was targeted four times and recorded a long reception of 25 yards. 

Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (2018-19), Los Angeles Rams: Murchison recorded one tackle in the Rams’ 29-23 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts. 

Cornerback Derrek Pitts Jr. (2021-22), Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Pitts missed the Buccaneers’ 26-9 win at the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury. 

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (2014-18), Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt logged seven tackles, six of which were solo, in the Bengals 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He recorded the third-most stops of any Cincinnati defender in the contest. 

Defensive end James Smith-Williams (2016-19), Washington Commanders: Smith-Williams did not record a tackle in the Commanders’ 34-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but he did log a quarterback hit in the contest. 

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street (2014-17), Philadelphia Eagles: Street played seven snaps for the Eagles in the team’s 34-31 win over the Washington Commanders. 

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), Seattle Seahawks: Thomas played on special teams in the Seahawks’ 24-3 win over the New York Giants on Monday night football.

Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.

Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 70 offensive snaps in the Chiefs 23-20 win at the New York Jets on Sunday night. He earned an offensive grade of 60.9, according to PFF. 

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling was targeted twice and made one catch in the Chiefs’ 23-20 win at the New York Jets in front of Taylor Swift. He recorded six yards on his lone reception. 

Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), Denver Broncos: Wilson led the Broncos in a 21-point comeback win over the Chicago Bears in a 31-28 result. He threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-28 passing in the victory. 

Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), Carolina Panthers: Zavala played 72 offensive snaps for the Panthers at left guard in the team’s 21-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings along side fellow Pack Pro Ikem Ekwonu.
