The Will Wade era is officially underway at NC State after the Wolfpack downed NC Central 114-66 in the season opener on Monday night, setting the table for the rest of the 2025 campaign under the first-year coach. 

This episode of The Wolfpacker Show breaks down the start of the Wade era, while breaking down the program’s recruiting with Rivals Senior National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw.

– Noah was joined by Jamie shortly after the opening segment of the podcast. The guest, who was also in attendance for the season opener, gave his initial takeaways of watching Wade’s first game in person.

UAB, ranked No. 96 in KenPom, visits the Lenovo Center on Friday night before the Pack will square off with VCU (No. 60), Seton Hall (No. 82) and Auburn (No. 41) over the next few weeks. – To close out his appearance on the show, Jamie breaks down NC State’s recruiting efforts. Brooklyn (N.Y.) Blair Academy five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. is on campus for an official visit and appears to be the Wolfpack’s top priority. Jamie explains why.

– After Jamie’s guest segment concluded, Noah went around the horn to look around campus at what else is going on at NC State. He talked about the Wolfpack women’s basketball win over No. 8 Tennessee, while highlighting No. 5 men’s soccer’s 3-0 win over Louisville to open the ACC Tournament.
