“I always want size. We have more size this year than last year, but we tried to get size. It was something that we were really happy with in terms of our roster that not only were we able to get size in the frontcourt, but we got positional size. That’s again, gonna help us on both ends of the floor and I’m really excited about it.”
When asked about Zayden High’s return to the program:
“He’s a versatile big that can do a number of things out there on the floor. Defensively, he can guard multiple positions, he’s an excellent rebounder, he’s a great offensive rebounder. He has the ability to shoot the ball from the outside, but also he’s a willing and instinctive passer. So he brings all those things alongside his size, it’s a huge benefit for us and I’m excited to see what he does this year.”

When asked about playing BYU in Oct. 24 exhibition:
“I think it’s huge, especially against the competition that we’re playing against. You get a closer look at what you have in areas that you have to improve, areas that you feel like you’re doing well and you want to continue to do it. Playing in that environment against really good competition, I think can only help you. It’s something that we’ve all talked about and are excited about, just continuing to grow and to build and see what kind of team we can become.”
When asked about Caleb Wilson:
“He’s a confident, charismatic kid that enjoys being on this team and being a part of this program, but enjoys being in college, which is nice and refreshing. I really believe if he ran for student body president, he might win. He knows everybody. His talent out there on the floor obviously is real, but in combination with the type of person and type of teammate he is… he lights up a room, whichever room he goes into and it’s been so much fun coaching him.”
