All 32 Notre Dame football players being honored on Senior Day vs. Syracuse

Notre Dame is set to honor 32 players on Senior Day vs. Syracuse. If you’re one of the 32, it generally means this could be it for your Fighting Irish career at the end of the season even if you have eligibility remaining. Better be safe than sorry and go through with the ceremony whether or not your mind is made up on your future.
It’s a moment you won’t ever forget.
“I remember my senior day,” Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman said. “You run out there for what you know could be your last time in Notre Dame Stadium, but after you see your families and you get back to that sideline, you have to flip the switch back to competition mode.”
The following list details all 32 players. It includes walk-ons being recognized, of which Blue & Gold counted 12. Longtime Irish fan favorite Tyler Buchner is technically one of them. Players in bold are scholarship players who have another year of eligibility and could return to Notre Dame if they so choose — and the Irish so choose to have them back. Blue & Gold counted seven of them, including running back Jadarian Price and Gi’Bran Payne.
So, without enough of the introductions. Here are the 32 players Notre Dame is honoring on Senior Day.

Notably missing from the list: tight end Ty Washington and center Ashton Craig. They’re both true seniors, but they are redshirt juniors by classification. If they’re not walking, that tends to mean they’ve decided to return to Notre Dame for the following season.
Craig has gone down with season-ending injuries in the middle of the last two years, and Washington is in his first year with the program as a transfer from Arkansas. He has a long history with Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock dating back to his high school recruitment.
