Notre Dame Stadium is going country again.

Thursday, it was announced that country music star Luke Combs will hold a concert at Notre Dame Stadium on April 18, 2026, as part of his “My Kinda Saturday Night” tour. Ty Myers will open for Combs, as well as Jake Worthington and duo Thelma & James.

Just recently, Notre Dame Stadium played host to Zach Bryan for a sold-out show during the Fighting Irish’s first bye week of the 2025 season in the first weekend of September. Comedian and well-noted Fighting Irish fan Shane Gillis opened for Bryan, along with Irish music icon Dermot Kennedy.

The Combs concert will be the fifth-ever at Notre Dame Stadium. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster on Oct. 17. You can sign up for early access to tickets at LukeCombs.com. The venue is anticipating more than 80,000 fans for the event.

Combs, 35, is a native of Huntersville, N.C. He’s been an active country music artist since 2014. He’s had several singles reach No. 1 on the Billboard country music chart, including “When It Rains It Pours,” which was the second single on his major label debut album, This One’s For You.

Combs has won 22 major awards and has received 74 nominations, according to his IMDB profile. His most recent Grammy nomination was this year for the “best song written for visual media” category. His song “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” was the soundtrack to the movie Twisters.

Before Combs gets to South Bend in six months, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team has some business to attend to at the venue he’s going to sell out.

Notre Dame began this season with an 0-2 record with losses to Miami and Texas A&M, both teams that are in the current top five of the major college football polls, but the Irish have rebounded with three consecutive victories over Purdue, Arkansas and Boise State. The Irish host NC State (4-2) in South Bend this Saturday.

Notre Dame has a favorable schedule the rest of the regular season, meaning the Irish have an attainable goal of getting to a record of 10-2 and firmly planting themselves in the College Football Playoff conversation. Many believe head coach Marcus Freeman‘s team, ranked No. 16 in the polls, are already there.

“I’m telling you, I don’t think there is much of any world where at 10-2 Notre Dame is left out,” CFB commentator Josh Pate said on ESPN analyst Greg McElroy‘s “Always College Football” podcast this week.

Following the matchup with the Wolfpack, Notre Dame has games against USC (4-1), Boston College (1-4), Navy (5-0), Pitt (3-2), Syracuse (3-3) and Stanford (2-3).
