Blue & Gold made it out to Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic to watch class of 2024 Notre Dame tight end commit Jack Larsen‘s squad blow out Charlotte (N.C.) Providence 49-14.

On one of the first few plays of the game, Larsen split out wide in and made an impressive catch down the left sideline with a defender all over him in one-on-one coverage for a gain of about 30 yards. On the night, Larsen got the ball four times for about 60 yards. It was a strong performance by the four-star prospect in a game where his team didn’t need to rely on his talents much because they could move the ball at will.

Larsen, who stands at 6-3, 212 pounds, is an outstanding receiving tight end who can put his hand in the dirt next to an offensive tackle and work down the seam, as well as be split out in the slot or out wide. He has very good speed and excellent short area quickness as a tight end. Larsen is more of a receiving tight end, but he’s a very willing blocker, shows good technique and has been coached well on how to chip and get to the second level. Larsen’s route running and overall feel for the game is superb.
