The Notre Dame football program is still in contention for one of the top wide receivers in the 2025 cycle. On Wednesday, On300 four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs included the Fighting Irish in his top seven schools list. Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Southern California, Texas and UCF also made the cut.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — Boggs is the No. 33 prospect in Florida, and the No. 26 wide receiver and No. 211 overall player nationally in the 2025 class.

Boggs, a senior at Cocoa (Fla.) High, is set to spend multiple days at Notre Dame on an unofficial visit this week. So, the fact that the 6-foot, 200-pounder included the Irish in his top schools’ list is not a surprise. Now, Notre Dame has a better idea for the competition for the former Ohio State commit.

Boggs did not include Texas A&M, Oregon, Penn State, Washington, South Carolina, Arkansas, Louisville, West Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Colorado among his top schools.

Despite his initial pledge to the Buckeyes, Irish wide receivers coach Mike Brown still pursued the No. 8 wideout in the Sunshine State. Brown offered Boggs on Feb. 27, about a month before he backed off his Ohio State declaration.

USC and Texas also offered Boggs after his decommitment from the Buckeyes

Once he reopened recruitment, Boggs visited Georgia on March 30. Per the visit center on his On3 recruiting profile, he also visited the University of Florida on April 2. He has official visits scheduled to UCF, Georgia and Missouri.

Boggs attends the same high school as Notre Dame 2026 quarterback target Brady Hart. The On3 Industry Ranking considers Hart a four-star prospect and the No. 110 overall player, No. 9 quarterback in the nation and No. 17 player in Florida in the 2026 cycle.

Boggs and Hart have established an impeccable on-field connection. According to Max Preps, in 15 games for Cocoa High last season, Boggs caught 93 passes for 1,493 yards (16.1 yards per catch) and 23 touchdowns. They captured a state championship together.

The Irish currently have three three-star wide receivers verbally committed in the 2025 cycle. Shaun Terry, Elijah Burress and Jerome Bettis Jr. pledged to the program this year. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Terry, Burress and Bettis rank as the No. 88, 107 and 127 wide receivers in the 2025 cycle, respectively.
