How Notre Dame football's 2024 class players performed during their senior high school seasons

Notre Dame football’s 23 2024 class commits’ signatures have been signed, sealed and delivered since Dec. 20, when early National Signing Day occurred. Their senior high school football seasons concluded not long before then. Here is how they performed in their final seasons in the high school ranks.

S Taebron Bennie-Powell

West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West ended the season 11-3 and lost in the Ohio playoffs Division I, Region 1 semifinal.

Season stats: 14 games | 48 tackles (34 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, 3 interceptions (1 returned for touchdown), 1 forced fumble, 1 field goal block, 1 punt block (returned for touchdown).


QB CJ Carr

Saline (Mich.) High finished the season 9-2 and lost in the Michigan Division I playoffs district final.

Season stats: 11 games | 199-285, 2,787 yards, 24 touchdowns, 9 interceptions | 40 carries, 242 yards, 9 TD.


WR Micah Gilbert

Charlotte (N.C.) Christian concluded the season 8-4 and lost in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I playoffs semifinal.

Season stats: 12 games | 76 catches, 1,105 yards, 10 TDs | 2 carries, 7 rush yards | 30 tackles (25 solo), 3 interceptions, 2 pass breakups, 1 fumble recovery.


CB Karson Hobbs

Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller ended the year 10-5 and lost in the Ohio Division I playoffs semifinal.

Season stats: 15 games | 34 tackles (15 solo), 0.5 tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery (returned for touchdown).


ATH Tae Johnson

Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side finished the season 3-7 and lost in the Indiana Class 5A playoffs sectional championship. Johnson began the season on the sideline with a foot injury and ended it with a shoulder injury. He is expected to be at full strength when he enrolls in June.

Season stats: 6 games | 7 tackles, 6 solo tackles | 7 catches, 56 yards, 1 TD | 30 carries, 312 yards, 6 TD | 30-48 passes, 457 yards, 5 TD.


OL Peter Jones

Malvern (Pa.) Prep ended the season 9-1.


LB Bodie Kahoun

Roanoke (Va.) Patrick Henry had a 9-2 record in 2023 and lost in the region quarterfinal of the Virginia Class 5 playoffs.

Season stats: 11 games | 200 tackles (126 solo), 27.0 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks, 1 pass breakup, 4 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 blocked punt.


OL Anthonie Knapp

Roswell (Ga.) High finished the year 11-2 and lost in the Georgia Class 6A playoffs quarterfinal.


OL Guerby Lambert

West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial concluded the season 8-3 and lost in the Massachusetts Division 2 playoffs semifinal.


TE Jack Larsen

Finished the year 9-4 and lost in the third round of the North Carolina 4A playoffs.

Season stats: 12 games | 47 catches, 782 yards, 10 TDs


CB Leonard Moore

Round Rock (Texas) High registered a 4-7 record this season and lost in the first round of the Texas University Interscholastic League Class 6A, Division I playoffs. Moore missed 4 games with an ankle injury.

Season stats: 7 games | 20 tackles (8 solo), 0.5 tackle for loss, 2 pass breakups, 1 interception | 9 catches, 137 yards, 2 TD | 1 carry, -5 yards | 6 kick returns, 160 yards | 3 punt return, 70 yards.


EDGE Cole Mullins

Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek ended the campaign 12-1 with a loss in the Georgia Class 7A playoffs quarterfinal. Mullins did not play this season due to injury.


OL Styles Prescod

Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern finished the season 9-3 and lost in the Indiana Class 6A playoffs regional championship.


LB Teddy Rezac

Omaha (Neb.) Westside won the Nebraska Class A championship and achieved a 13-0 record. Rezac missed one game with a concussion.

Season stats: 12 games | 70 tackles (46 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, 4 interceptions | 12 catches, 146 yards, 2 TD.


WR Logan Saldate

Salinas (Calif.) Palma (11-4) won its first-ever football state championship by claiming the California Interscholastic Federation Division 4-A playoffs final.

Season stats: 14 games | 68 catches, 1,242 yards, 15 TDs | 12 carries, 85 yards, 1 TD | 5 tackles (2 solo), 1 interception.


DL Sean Sevillano

Clearwater (Fla.) Academy International finished the year 5-4.

Season stats: 9 games | 101 tackles, 65.0 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 blocked field goal.


S Kennedy Urlacher

Chandler (Ariz.) High concluded the season 8-3 and lost in the quarterfinal round of the Arizona 6A playoffs.

Season stats: 11 games | 47 tackles (15 solo), 1 tackle for loss, 1 pass breakup, 2 forced fumbles.


EDGE Loghan Thomas

Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward ended the year 15-1 and won the Ohio Division I state championship for the third consecutive season. Thomas missed one game due to a shoulder injury.

Season stats: 15 games | 129 tackles (28 solo), 15.0 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 31 QB hurries, 15 QB hits, 5 pass breakups, 5 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery.


LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco’s lost in the California/Southern Section Division I playoffs championship, ending the year 11-2.

Season stats: 13 games | 114 tackles (56 solo), 13.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 interception, 3 pass breakups | 3 catches, 37 yards, 3 TDs.


RB Aneyas Williams

Hannibal (Mo.) ended the year 11-2, losing in the quarterfinal round of the Missouri Class 4 playoffs.

Season stats: 13 games | 168 carries, 1,415 yards, 27 TDs | 44 catches, 816 yards, 17 TDs | 1 interception returned for 58-yard touchdown | 4 punt returns, 145 yards, 2 TD | 3 kick returns, 77 yards.


WR Cam Williams

Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South ended the season 9-2, losing in the second round of the Illinois Class 5A playoffs.

Season stats: 11 games | 37 catches, 909 yards, 12 TDs, 1 fumble | 30 carries, 468 yards, 6 TDs.


EDGE Bryce Young

Charlotte (N.C.) Christian concluded the season 8-4 and lost in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I playoffs semifinal

Season stats: 12 games | 97 tackles (55 solo), 18.0 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, 12 QB hurries, 3 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 blocked field goal, 1 blocked punt | 5 catches, 30 yards, 1 touchdown.


RB Kedren Young

Lufkin (Texas) High charted a 5-6 record in 2023.

Season stats: 11 games | 226 carries, 1,297 yards, 15 TDs | 11 catches, 89 yards | 4-7, 77 yards, 1 TD.
