Notre Dame point guard Hannah Hidalgo is two games into her experience as a guard on Team USA’s FIBA AmeriCup run in Santiago, Chile. The Americans are 2-0 with wins over Chile (108-47) and Colombia (80-43).

Team USA plays Puerto Rico tonight (Monday, June 30) at 8:10 p.m. ET. Then the Americans get a day off before finishing group play with a game against Mexico at 2:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday (July 2).

The FIBA AmeriCup website does an efficiency rating for every participating player. Hidalgo has a rating of 6.0, which is one of the lowest on the team. The 1-of-11 shooting performance in the game against Colombia obviously did not help her cause.

The best efficiency rating of any Team USA player belongs to Raegan Beers, a forward from Oklahoma by way of Oregon State via the transfer portal. Beers ousted Hidalgo and Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 in 2024 when she was still playing for the Beavers. Her efficiency rating for the AmeriCup so far is 21.5.

Tied for the second-best efficiency rating among all Team USA players through two games in the AmeriCup? None other than former Notre Dame point guard Olivia Miles with an efficiency rating of 16.5. Now a TCU Horned Frog, Miles has been her usual stat sheet-stuffing self in Chile. She has Team USA’s largest average +/- at +28.5. The Americans are absolutely steamrolling the opposition when she’s on the floor.

Miles is averaging 8.5 points, 7.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game in just over 20 minutes of floor time per game. South Carolina forward Joyce Edwards leads Team USA with 16.0 points per game. Vanderbilt guard Mikayla Blakes is close behind at 15.0 points per game, followed by Beers at 14.5
