Newsstand: BetMGM shrinks spread for Notre Dame vs. Arkansas game

Oddsmakers have shrunk the betting line for the Notre Dame vs. Arkansas game on Saturday.
According to BetMGM, the Fighting Irish are now a 4.5-point favorite over the Razorbacks. On Monday, Notre Dame was favored by 6 points.
Last Saturday, No. 22 Notre Dame covered the spread for the first time this season with a 56-30 win over Purdue. The Irish were previously 0-2 after losing to No. 2 Miami and No. 9 Texas A&M as a favorite. The over has also hit in all three of Notre Dame’s games.
Arkansas is 1-3 against the spread, including losses in its last two games. The over has also hit in the last three games after the Razorbacks failed to exceed the points total in a 52-7 victory against Alabama A&M in Week 1.
Saturday will be the first-ever meeting between Notre Dame and Arkansas. ABC will have television coverage with kickoff set for Noon ET.

The Irish have one of the nation’s top recruiting classes.
Notre Dame Quote of the Day
“He is as consistent as anyone in our program. He constantly gets his job done. He’s always looking for ways to improve. He practices hard at a high level. He understands the value of Notre Dame and the things this place provides you outside of football. I couldn’t be more pleased with what he’s done in his time here — the consistent football player he’s been and how much he’s improved.”
— Irish coach Marcus Freeman on junior linebacker Jaiden Ausberry.
