Notre Dame football injury report: Two starters and key player listed as questionable vs. Purdue

On Monday, the Notre Dame football communications department released the team’s injury and availability report for Saturday’s Week 4 game against Purdue. Three players are listed as questionable and four more remain out.
Fifth-year kicker Noah Brunette, sophomore cornerback Leonard Moore and fifth-year defensive back DeVonta Smith are all questionable due to various injuries. Senior walk-on tight end Justin Fisher, junior tight end Cooper Flanagan, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Charles Jagusah and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Peter Jones are all listed as out.
One change from the injury report from the previous three weeks is that redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Devan Houstan is no longer out due to a left knee injury.

Notre Dame football injury report vs. Purdue (Week 4)
The Notre Dame football communications department has ruled out four players and listed three as questionable for the Purdue game.
— Fifth-year kicker Noah Burnette (right hip) is questionable for the game. Last Saturday vs. Texas A&M, he converted on field goals of 22 and 39 yards and converted on all four extra point attempts.
— Senior walk-on tight end Justin Fisher is out for the game. On Aug. 26, the Notre Dame football communications team announced he had a right knee injury.
— Junior tight end Cooper Flanagan is out for the game. On Jan. 2, Flanagan suffered an Achilles injury in his left foot in the Sugar Bowl against Georgia. On July 31, Freeman told reporters that Flanagan will be back during the season, though the exact date is still to be determined.
— Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Charles Jagusah is out for the game. On July 5, Jagusah fractured his left humerus during a UTV accident in Wyoming. On July 31, Freeman told reporters that Jagusah will be back during the season, though the exact date is still to be determined. Freeman said last Monday that Jagusah is still rehabbing.
— Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Peter Jones is out for the game. On Aug. 26, the Notre Dame football communications team announced he had a left ankle injury.

— Sophomore cornerback Leonard Moore (left ankle) is questionable for the game. Last Saturday against Texas A&M, the Notre Dame training staff tended to Moore. Still, he played 68 snaps and finished the game.
— Fifth-year defensive back DeVonta Smith (right ankle) is questionable for the game. Smith missed the Texas A&M game due to injury. After the game, Freeman told reporters that Smith rolled his ankle in pregame warmups.
Notre Dame football players out for the season
— Sixth-year tight end Kevin Bauman is out for the season and has retired from football. On Aug. 9, the Notre Dame football communications team announced Bauman suffered an articular cartilage injury in his left knee.
— Senior walk-on running back Dylan Devezin is out for the season. On Aug. 26, the Notre Dame football communications team announced he has a left shoulder injury.
— Freshman defensive back Brandon Logan is out for the season. On Aug. 26, the Notre Dame football communications team announced he has a left shoulder injury.
— Redshirt freshman running back Kedren Young is out for the season. On Aug. 9, the Notre Dame football communications team announced Young tore his ACL in his right knee in fall camp practice. It required surgery.
