Newstand: Injury updates on Notre Dame TE Cooper Flanagan and DL Boubacar Traore

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman provided injury updates on junior tight end Cooper Flanagan, redshirt offensive lineman Charles Jagusah and redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Boubacar Traore on Thursday.
According to Freeman, Flanagan and Jagusah should be able to return this season. Flanagan is recovering from an Achilles injury suffered against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2. Jagusah sustained an injury to his left upper arm in a utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) accident over the Fourth of July weekend.
“With Coop and Charles, they’ll be back during the season,” Freeman told reporters in his post-practice news conference. “I don’t know — there’s not a hard date that we’re going to say, ‘This is the game they’ll be back.’ But they’ll be back this year.”
Traore, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against Purdue on Sept. 14, was limited in practice. However, he is expected to be ready to go by the start of the season.
“Yeah, Boubacar is more of a progression,” Freeman said. “He’ll be ready to go. We just want to slowly increase the load we ask him to perform in practice.”
