When is the Notre Dame vs. Stanford game? Kickoff time revealed
Notre Dame football’s Week 14 matchup vs. Stanford will be a late-night kick. On Monday, the Irish announced that its Nov. 29 game against the Cardinal will kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will have broadcast coverage.
The Notre Dame vs. Stanford game will be the latest game Marcus Freeman’s team has played all season. With a 7:30 p.m. local kick, it marks the fifth time the Irish have played in “prime time” in 2025. Notre Dame opened the season against Miami at night and also hosted Texas A&M, USC and Navy under the lights. The Irish are 2-2 in those games.
Nov. 29 will be the first time Freeman and Stanford coach Frank Reich meet. Freeman is 2-1 against the Cardinal in his career after getting upset by them, 16-14, in 2022. The Irish have outscored the Cardinal 105-30 since then.
Notre Dame and Stanford have faced three common opponents in 2025: Miami, Boston College and Pittsburgh. Both teams lost to the Hurricanes, though Notre Dame has defeated the Eagles 25-10 and the Panthers 37-15. Stanford beat Boston College 30-20, but lost to Pitt 35-20.

The Irish have to close out the season with wins against Syracuse and Stanford to be best positioned to return to the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, Stanford is unlikely to be bowl-eligible because it only has three wins with just two games to play.
