The Notre Dame football program extended six new scholarship offers following Friday’s Irish Invasion camp. Five of the offers went to recruits from the 2028 class. Here’s a look at who earned an offer from the Fighting Irish after the program’s premier prospect camp.

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep CB Phoenix Evans (2028)

Evans did not have to go through testing, yet his Irish Invasion camp performance warranted a Notre Dame offer. His quickness especially stood out in a competitive defensive back group. Blue & Gold recruiting insider Mike Singer described the 5-foot-10, 160-pound rising sophomore as lean, twitchy and aggressive. The Irish are now part of a recruitment that also features offers from Penn State, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Syracuse.

Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School EDGE Asher Ghioto (2028)

The 6-4, 235-pound Ghioto was unable to compete at Irish Invasion due to an illness that kept him up overnight. Despite this, he left campus with an offer from Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington. His size, especially for a rising sophomore, is striking. Other premier programs seem to agree, as he holds offers from Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Miami. Look for the Irish to be a major contender in his recruitment moving forward.

Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional three-star EDGE Chaz Gray (2027)

Gray was the only recruit from the 2027 class to earn a Notre Dame offer at Irish Invasion. The 6-4, 225-pounder was one of the camp’s top defensive ends, dominating in 1-on-1s off the edge. Gray hails from the same school that produced Notre Dame defensive lineman Howard Cross III. South Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, Washington, Boston College and Michigan State are among his other offers. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Gray is the No. 10 player in New Jersey, the No. 39 EDGE nationally, and the No. 383 overall player in the 2027 class.

Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional LB Tahj Gray (2028)

Notre Dame also offered Tahj Gray, Chaz’s brother. Tahj is already 6-2 and 205 pounds and has offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Nebraska and Washington. He was one of the camp’s top linebackers despite being just a rising sophomore, displaying his versatility and pass-rushing ability. Tahj projects as one of the top defenders in the class.

Anaheim (Calif.) Servite LB Allen “Cinco” Kennett (2028)

It is rare for Notre Dame to be the first school to offer a recruit, but Kennett’s Irish Invasion performance warranted it. Linebackers coach Max Bullough has been scouting Kennett for some time, even traveling to Southern California to learn more about him and 2027 four-star linebacker Isaiah Leilua, who received a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day. Leilua was not on campus Friday. Kennett played some quarterback for Servite last season, completing 18 of 29 passes for 133 yards and rushing 50 times for 246 yards and three scores.

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic EDGE Jackson Vaughn (2028)

Friday marked the fourth year I have covered Irish Invasion, and I have never seen a performance like Vaughn’s. The 6-3, 220-pounder did not lose a single rep in 1-on-1s. He was untouchable off the edge, beating offensive tackles with elite bend and quickness. On3 has not yet released its 2028 player rankings, but when they do, Vaughn should be among the top players in the class. His recruitment already features offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, LSU, Texas, Oregon, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Miami, Florida and South Carolina.
