Owen Strebig has finalized his next Notre Dame return visit. The 2025 four-star offensive tackle from Waukesha (Wisc.) Catholic Memorial will be back in South Bend when the Fighting Irish host Ohio State on Sept. 23, he told Blue & Gold on Tuesday morning.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pound Strebig last visited Notre Dame for its “grill & chill” recruiting event on July 30. Later that week, he told Blue & Gold that he eyed returning to campus for arguably Notre Dame’s most anticipated game on the 2023 schedule. Now, the trip is finalized.

The On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 73 overall player and No. 9 offensive tackle in 2025, Strebig, visited Notre Dame three times in four months earlier this year. His first unofficial recruiting visit was on April 15, about three weeks after he picked up a full-ride scholarship offer from offensive line coach Joe Rudolph

Strebig, also the On3 Industry Ranking’s  No. 1 prospect in Wisconsin, visited Notre Dame for the second time on June 22. During that trip, the Irish made a major move in this recruitment.

“I really like (Notre Dame),” Strebig told Blue & Gold on June 26. “I’m really at a good point. They’ve done a good job of recruiting me. I’m really, really liking Notre Dame right now.”

Strebig even made sure to make it back for Notre Dame’s “grill & chill” recruiting cookout last month, which came the day after he visited the University of Florida. The Irish maintained their strong position after that trip too.

“The feelings I had before remain. Notre Dame stays one of my top schools,” he said.

Still, he said he is not necessarily nearing a decision on a college commitment.

“I don’t think really commitment has crossed my mind yet,” he said. “I want to keep my options open for a while, honestly. Just want to make sure when I do commit, that’s the one school. I don’t want to flip anywhere. I want to be like comfortable with that decision.”

Strebig reports 20 Power Five scholarship offers. Among them, he’s visited Wisconsin (3), Iowa (2), Florida (2), Minnesota, Illinois, Penn State, Michigan, Florida State, UCF, Southern California, UCLA and Miami (Fla.). He’s also been to Northwestern. However, it has not offered him a scholarship.

On3 considers Strebig the No. 40 overall player, No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 1 prospect in Wisconsin. His On3 Industry rating (93.09) is slightly higher than his On3 rating (93).
