Singer talks predictions of Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa and Caleb Brewer to Notre Dame
“I was on the phone with a source, and they told me that I should think about putting in a prediction for [Viliamu-Asa] to go to Notre Dame … I talked to a source about a week after that, and I was told that it was continuing to look good for Notre Dame. He’s been clicking with the staff. He hasn’t been to campus since last April, but he might not need to visit again for him to need to commit. He absolutely loves the Fighting Irish. He has a connection to Junior Tuihalamaka; that Polynesian linebacker tradition at Notre Dame is always strong. It’s a heavyweight battle for Kyngstonn — USC, Ohio State, Alabama recently offered — schools are after him from coast to coast. My sources feel pretty good that he will end up at Notre Dame. I don’t know if he’ll get out to Notre Dame this spring, but he’ll take an official, and again, I like Notre Dame to land him.
“You would’ve thought it would be Penn State for [Brewer] … I felt a little weird putting in a prediction because Notre Dame doesn’t have an offensive line coach right now, but I was told that it doesn’t really matter. He looks all Notre Dame … Sources are raving about where Notre Dame is at. I don’t get the sense that Penn State is doing the best job recruiting here. It might be a bold pick, but in my conversations with him and what sources close to Notre Dame are telling me — for all those reasons, I’m putting in the prediction.”
