Key defensive line target sets Notre Dame visit

There has been a lot of talk and reports in recent weeks about Bryant (Ark.) High class of 2024 defensive lineman TJ Lindsey finally returning to Notre Dame, and the visit has been scheduled.
Late on Wednesday night, Lindsey tweeted out his visit schedule of eight schools he intends to go to. He list is as follows: Ole Miss March 23, Texas March 25, Texas A&M March 31, Miami April 8, Auburn April 14, Georgia April 15, Notre Dame April 22 and Oregon April 29.
His trip to South Bend will be for the Blue-Gold Game. It will be a great opportunity for the Irish staff to make a big move for Lindsey, as the staff rolls out the red carpet for recruits for the spring game weekend.
Notre Dame is considered the leader for Lindsey according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Two insider predictions were logged a couple months ago for him to land with the Fighting Irish.
Lindsey has also taken recent trips to SMU, Missouri, Arkansas and LSU.
Lindsey breaks down Notre Dame interest
Lindsey, who ranks as the nation’s No. 414 overall prospect and No. 39 defensive lineman according to the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, picked up an offer from the Fighting Irish last June and visited campus the following month. While it’s been quite a while since he’s been to campus (that will of course change next month), he’s been keeping close contact with the Irish staff.
“They express how they’d love to have me and the opportunities there on and off the field,” Lindsey previously said of the Notre Dame coaches. “I’m definitely open to going out of my area.

“Notre Dame is definitely one of my top picks if I had to commit today. I love Notre Dame, but other colleges are in contention … That brand is iconic. It can provide you with many opportunities across America.”
Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington, defensive coordinator Al Golden, head coach Marcus Freeman and director of recruiting Chad Bowden are leading the charge for the Irish in Lindsey’s recruitment.
“When I talk to one of them, I’ll talk to all of them,” he said. “We talk multiple times throughout the week.
“Our conversations now are more about life. We’ve talked about a lot of football stuff already. Now we’re just getting to know each other. They’ve told me that there’s nothing else like Notre Dame with that iconic brand, education and football.”
