Transfer tracker: How 12 former Notre Dame players performed in Week 1 with new teams

Just as Notre Dame football began the 2025 season this week, 10 players from last year’s team kicked off their careers elsewhere. Two more who also did not finish last season with the Fighting Irish also made their debuts for another school. Blue & Gold breaks down how they all performed in Week 1.

He completed 23 of them (57.4%) for 274 yards and 1 touchdown while also throwing an interception. The Volunteers also sacked him 5 times.
OL Ty Chan (Connecticut): Made his first career collegiate start at right guard in a 59-13 win against Central Connecticut. He did not allow any pressure in 29 snaps. Next week, the Huskies face Angeli and Syracuse.

OL Pat Coogan (Indiana): Started at center and played all 92 snaps in 27-14 victory over Old Dominion. He allowed 1 quarterback hurry, but rushers averaged 5.2 yards per carry (14 rushes, 73 yards) when running left or right middle, which he was primarily responsible for.
