What time is the Notre Dame vs. Pittsburgh football game? ACC reveals kickoff time
Notre Dame football’s Nov. 15 game at Pittsburgh will be an early kickoff. On Monday, the ACC announced the No. 10 Fighting Irish’s Week 12 game against the Panthers will be at 12 p.m. ET at Acrisure Stadium.
It will air on ABC or ESPN. Specific network designation will be announced after the games this Saturday.
It will be the second time Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman and Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi have met. The last time these two teams played, ND took down Pitt 58-7, at Notre Dame Stadium on Oct. 28, 2023. This time around, it could be a de facto College Football Playoff elimination game for both programs.
The Irish control their own destiny and have to first beat Navy to remain alive for a spot in the 12-team Playoff. Meanwhile, the Panthers are seemingly on the outside looking in for an at-large bid because they have two losses and are unranked. However, a win over last year’s national championship runner-up would go a long way toward strengthening Pittsburgh’s résumé in the event chaos ensues. It could also earn an automatic bid by winning its conference championship game.
Pittsburgh has a bye week and a revitalized team before playing the Irish on Nov. 15. Since they elevated true freshman Mason Heintschel to starting quarterback, the Panthers have won all five of their ACC games and are tied with Georgia Tech for the second-best conference record at 5-1. Heintschel has thrown for 1,547 yards, 12 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, while completing 118-184 passes.

The Irish have an even more successful freshman signal-caller. Redshirt CJ Carr has totaled 2,057 yards, 16 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 139-209 passing while starting every game this season. He’ll lead a Notre Dame team into the Steel City for the first time since 2020.
Notre Dame holds the advantage in the series with a 51-21-1 all-time record. It has won the last four meetings.
