Notre Dame vs. Clemson kickoff time announced
This past Monday, Notre Dame announced that its kickoff time against Clemson would be either 12 p.m. ET or 3:30 p.m. ET, and the final decision was made on Saturday night, shortly after the Irish dismantled Pittsburgh 58-7.
The Fighting Irish and Tigers will face off at 12 p.m. ET Nov. 4. The game can be seen on the ESPN family of networks.
It will be Notre Dame’s second noon start time of the year, as the Irish faced NC State in that slot Sept. 9. Notre Dame beat the Wolfpack 45-24.
Prior to the season, this matchup was considered one of the “big three” games on the schedule, but the Tigers are reeling. Dabo Swinney‘s squad is coming off back-to-back losses. Clemson fell 28-20 after two overtimes against Miami Oct. 21 and dropped a 24-17 contest versus N.C. State Saturday afternoon.
It should be noted that three of Clemson’s four losses have come on the road. The Tigers lost their season opener at Duke 28-7. The home loss occurred against Florida State; the top-five ranked Seminoles knocked off the Tigers 31-24 in overtime Sept. 23.
As things stand seven days before the contest, Notre Dame is the favorite in the matchup. The Irish are a three-point favorite, according to FanDuel. The over-under is set at 49.5.
Notre Dame and Clemson have played each other seven times. The Tigers lead the series 4-3. Notre Dame won the last time the two teams faced — last November when the Irish dominated in all three phases of the game on their way to a 35-14 triumph.
