WATCH LIVE: Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman press conference previewing Marshall

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman wasn’t pleased following a 21-10 loss to Ohio State. The national consensus was that the Fighting Irish kept it closer than anticipated against the No. 2 team in the country on the road, but Freeman was not having any of that.
He said the Irish aren’t playing for moral victories.
“We’ve got to get better,” Freeman said immediately after the defeat. “We’ve got to learn how to finish. We’ve got a good football team. We’ve got to learn how to finish. And that’s what I just told them.”
Saturday is a chance for Notre Dame to improve. The Irish return to South Bend for the 2022 home opener against Marshall at 2:30 p.m. ET. Notre Dame is favored to win by 19.5 points according to BetMGM.
