Blue & Gold found 22 individual picks from national media members spread across six different outlets for Notre Dame’s game against Navy on Saturday. All 22 people are predicting the No. 10 Fighting Irish (6-2) to take care of the Midshipmen (7-1) in the latest iteration of their annual rivalry game.

The Irish haven’t lost to the Midshipmen since 2016. They’ve won seven matchups in a row, including all three during the Marcus Freeman era so far.

First, here is who the Blue & Gold staff is picking.

And here is a little more information on the national picks.

Pro Football Focus

Max Chadwick: Notre Dame 41, Navy 20
“Love and Price run wild on the Midshipmen, while the Fighting Irish’s strong run defense steps up enough for Notre Dame to win by multiple scores.”

Dalton Wasserman: Notre Dame 42, Navy 17
“Notre Dame’s dynamic offense proves too strong for a Navy defense that has allowed at least 31 points in four straight games against American Conference opponents.”

The Sporting News

Bill Bender: Notre Dame 42, Navy 19
“The Irish routed Navy in this matchup the last two years – including a 51-14 victory in Annapolis last season. The Midshipmen are coming off a 31-17 loss against North Texas that was fueled by three turnovers. Navy had six turnovers against the Irish last season. Blake Horvath will lead a few TD drives, but there is no slowing down Notre Dame’s rushing attack. Jeremiyah Love has 364 yards on 8.9 yards per carry in the Irish’s last two games.”

Bleacher Report

David Kenyon: Notre Dame 42, Navy 20
“Notre Dame stumbled through the first half at Boston College but still pulled away late. If the Fighting Irish have a slow start defensively, Navy can keep it close into halftime, too. Eventually, though, ND’s talent will prevail.”
