Nobody shoots 100 percent. Not even Hannah Hidalgo. But when it comes to ACC Player of the Week honors, that’s where Hidalgo is currently at.

One award given out by the conference so far. One accolade stuffed in Hidalgo’s pocket — if she’s even got any room in there for any more of these.

In the first two seasons of her Notre Dame career, Hidalgo racked up quite a few nods from the ACC. She was a 12-time ACC Rookie of the Week as a true freshman and a four-time ACC Player of the Week winner as a sophomore. She ended up becoming the first Fighting Irish player to win the ACC Player of the Year award, too.

In two games against Fairleigh Dickinson and Chicago State, Hidalgo averaged 29.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the free throw line.

Hidalgo has played in 69 games for the Irish. She’s averaging 23.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.1 steals per game, well on her way to perhaps etching herself as the most talented player to ever wear the blue and gold. That’s not a light designation for a program of Notre Dame’s caliber.

Notre Dame remains home to host Akron on Wednesday before making its first road trip of the season this weekend. The Irish and Michigan Wolverines will meet at a neutral site venue, Wayne State Fieldhouse, in Detroit on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by NBC.

Both Notre Dame (2-0) and Michigan (2-0) are ranked in the early going of the 2025-26 campaign. The Irish, however, slipped from No. 15 in the preseason to No. 18 in Week 2 despite beating Fairleigh Dickinson 98-52 and Chicago State 116-58. The Michigan game is a good chance for Hidalgo and Co. to prove their worth, as is a home game against No. 8 USC on Friday, Nov. 21.
