Live pregame updates: Notre Dame vs. UNLV

Notre Dame hosts UNLV Saturday in its fourth home game of the season. The Irish (3-3) had a three-game win streak snapped last week with a 16-14 home loss to Stanford. UNLV (4-3, 2-2 Mountain West) has lost two straight games by a combined score of 82-14. The Rebels will likely be without starting quarterback Doug Brumfield and leading rusher Aidan Robbins due to injury.

12:15 p.m. ET: Notre Dame defensive players and coaches gather for their usual pregame huddle at midfield.

12:40 p.m.: The first Notre Dame players emerge for warmups. It’s a group of specialists and quarterbacks.

12:55 p.m.: Most Notre Dame players are out on the field for initial warmups. Grad student defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola (rib) is going through light warmups and drills. Marcus Freeman said Thursday he is questionable to play.

1:00 p.m.: Notre Dame releases its pregame injury report and rules out freshman cornerback Jaden Mickey (abductor strain). Mickey also missed last week’s game vs. Stanford. Mickey is the only player on the two-deep listed on the injury report, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the only one who will not play. Game-time decisions usually aren’t made when the report is released 90 minutes before kickoff.

1:10 p.m: Notre Dame players have left the field and went to the locker room to change into their uniforms – except for running back Logan Diggs, who stays to get some extra running in.

1:27 p.m.: Specialists take the field in uniform for more warmups. Kicker Blake Grupe starts field goal practice in the north end zone with long snapper Michael Vinson and holder Jon Sot. He practices from both hashes. He doinked his first 50-yard attempt from the left hash, then made the next when his kick hit the crossbar and bounced over. He moved to the middle hash and hit from 50 with nearly 10 yards to spare.

1:34 p.m.: Grupe goes to the south end zone, starting with a make from 40 yards away. He hit a 50-yarder from the left hash.

1:40 p.m.: Brumfield and Robbins are not in uniform and officially won’t play.

1:45 p.m.: Quarterbacks and centers are out for warmups. Drew Pyne takes snaps from Zeke Correll, Steve Angeli is with Pat Coogan and Ron Powlus III with Ashton Craig.

1:52 p.m.: Notre Dame gathers on one side of the field for full team stretching. Freshman defensive tackle Tyson Ford and safety Justin Walters are not in uniform for the second straight game. Mickey is in uniform, even though he won’t play.

2:03 p.m.: Ademilola is going through warmups with the defensive line and is in the first group of four. That’s generally a positive sign for a player who is a game-time decision.

2:10 p.m.: Ademilola is with the first-team defense in 11-on-11 warmups. He appears to be a go.

2:33 p.m.: Notre Dame takes the field.

2:34 p.m.: UNLV wins the toss and defers. Notre Dame will receive.
