Three Notre Dame players make On3's top 100 players in college football for 2025 season

Whether Notre Dame can replicate or exceed its run to the College Football Playoff national championship game remains to be seen. But the Fighting Irish definitely don’t lack star power.
Three Notre Dame players made On3’s list of the top 100 players in college football, including two in the top 11. Sophomore cornerback Leonard Moore leads the way at No. 7, junior running back Jeremiyah Love is close behind him at No. 11 and senior right tackle Aamil Wagner just made the cut at No. 95.
The recruiting class of 2024 dominated the top of On3’s rankings, with Moore, who will switch from No. 15 to No. 2 in 2025, being one of five rising sophomores in the top seven.
According to On3’s Clark Brooks, Moore is the best cornerback in the country. The next-highest-ranked corner didn’t appear until No. 17 (Tennessee’s Jermod McCoy).
“Moore is a stud,” Brooks wrote. “He didn’t back down from any challenges last year and emerged as one of the position’s best players despite being a freshman — a noticeable trend on this list.
“Playing a high percentage of man coverage (61%), he was 1/23 high volume corners last year to allow a sub-5.2 yards/target and 0.75 yards/coverage snap. Plus, the stingy 6-foot-2 Golden Domer sports the 3rd-best PFF coverage grade (86.5) among returners ahead of this fall.”

Love, meanwhile, is the top-ranked running back on the list. The next back, Penn State’s Nicholas Singleton, doesn’t appear until No. 34.
On3 ranks its top 100 in terms of impact, not necessarily talent. That means positional value is considered, which makes it all the more impressive that Love is ranked that high.
“Love is a big play waiting to happen,” Brooks wrote. “He ripped off a breakaway in half of Notre Dame’s games. His 7.1 yards/touch was top 30-worthy and only seven backs donned a better EPA/attempt.
“But while those highlights are fun, I am enamored with his hard-nosed rushing style. Last year, Love was 1/5 RBs to rock a +4.3 YAC average and +38% Missed Tackle Forced Rate, according to PFF.”
Wagner is the 15th-ranked offensive tackle in the top 100.
