There is only one way to watch No. 16 Notre Dame (3-2) host unranked NC State (4-2) on Saturday, an it isn’t via a traditional television channel. This is the Fighting Irish’s one game per season in which it’s streamed exclusively through Peacock.

Here is more on that and everything you need to know about the game itself.

Head coaches: NC State — Dave Doeren (114-71 overall, 15th season; 91-67 at NC State, 13th season); Notre Dame — Marcus Freeman (36-12, 4th season at Notre Dame and overall).

2025 team records: Notre Dame: 3-2 (L, 27-24 at Miami; L, 41-40 vs. Texas A&M; W, 56-30 vs. Purdue; W, 56-13 at Arkansas; W, 28-7 vs. Boise State); NC State: 4-2 (W, 24-17 vs. East Carolina; W, 35-31 vs. Virginia; W, 35-24 at Wake Forest; L, 45-33 at Duke; L, 23-21 at Virginia Tech; W, 56-10 vs. Campbell)

Noting Notre Dame: Notre Dame began the season 0-2 and accumulated plenty of questions about a porous defense in the first year of the Chris Ash as defensive coordinator era. Since then, though, the defense has improved in every Irish victory, including holding Boise State to seven points last week. The offense, meanwhile, has solidified itself as one of the best units in the country. At every position group, Notre Dame has players flat-out taking care of business.

Noting NC State: The Wolfpack have one of the more productive quarterbacks in the country in sophomore CJ Bailey, who’s averaging just under 290 total yards per game. Their running back is one of the best in the nation, too; Hollywood Smothers is averaging over 100 rushing yards per game. The defense is banged up, though, and it hasn’t been too good to begin with. The key in this game will be how that side of the ball for NC State matches up against a Notre Dame offense capable of scoring 40 plus on anybody.
