On Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman’s message:
“Coach Freeman, he always tells me to stay true. Coach Freeman will tell you straight up. He doesn’t want guys that other coaches are not coming to recruit. If other coaches are still coming after you when you’re committed, that means you’re a guy.
“He always tells me to stay true. I picked Notre Dame for a reason and he always tells me to remember that.”

On the love from the Notre Dame fan base:
“It’s been great getting love from Notre Dame. They have one of the best fan bases – I think the best fanbase in college football. Anytime you tweet or post something, it’s going to go big because people all over the world are Notre Dame fans.
“It’s been great. They always show a lot of love.”

On what he has picked up in 2024 that will impact him later in life:
“I feel like how I handle my business. I’ve been fortunate to be around a lot of great guys and things like that. I was actually just training with Phillip Rivers last week. He’s a pro. He handles his business. He’s had kids. He just goes about his business.
“I’ve been around Riley Leonard for that same time when I was with (Rivers). You know Riley, he wants to learn so much about the game and soak everything in. Him just coaching up his guys, I feel like that’s just being a pro.”
On how his spring has been and how he balances the attention:
“It’s been good. I would say I’ve been handling it like a pro, man. I go to school and handle my business. Then, I go to football and handle my business there. Then, I try to live a normal teenage life and hang out with my friends and things like that.”
