Newsstand: Where PFF has Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love going in latest mock draft
The day before Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, Pro Football Focus’ Max Chadwick released a mock that included Love among the first dozen picks.
He has him going No. 12 overall to the Minnesota Vikings.
“While the Vikings continue to evaluate whether J.J. McCarthy is their long-term answer at quarterback, they can ease some of that burden by adding an elite running back prospect in Jeremiyah Love,” Chadwick wrote. “The Heisman Trophy finalist has put up a 95.2 PFF grade since 2024, the highest among all running backs in that span, which includes Ashton Jeanty’s monstrous season last year.”
Love won the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s best running back, becoming the first ever Fighting Irish player to do so. He finished third in Heisman Trophy voting as well. He ran 199 times for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 27 catches for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns. His 21 touchdowns set a new single-season program record.
The Irish should have two running backs taken in the same NFL Draft for the first time since 1993. Love’s backfield mate, Jadarian Price, declared for the draft the day after Love did. Price ran 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. He had 6 catches for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chadwick’s mock was just for the first round, so he hasn’t pinpointed a destination for Price, who could be a day two pick, just yet.

“Notre Dame has truly been a blessing in my life. Choosing to be a student-athlete here for the past four years is something I will always be grateful for. Through every high and low, this place and its people consistently pushed me to be better, and for that I am forever thankful.”
