Who are Notre Dame football's broadcasters for the 2025 season?

Some familiar voices will be returning to the NBC Sports broadcast booth for Notre Dame football home games this season. 

On Wednesday, NBC Sports announced its college football broadcast teams for the 2025 season. Dan Hicks (play-by-play) and Jason Garrett (color analyst) will cover Notre Dame’s 3:30 p.m. ET games against Purdue (Sept. 20), Boise State (Oct. 4), NC State (Oct. 11) and Syracuse (Nov. 22). Zora Stephenson will serve as the sideline reporter.

The NC State vs. Notre Dame game is being broadcast exclusively on Peacock. 

NBC Sports has also assigned Noah Eagle (play-by-play) and Todd Blackledge (color analyst) to all Saturday primetime game broadcasts. They will be on the call for Notre Dame’s 7:30 p.m. ET games when the Irish face Texas A&M (Sept. 13), USC (Oct. 18) and Navy (Nov. 8). Kathryn Tappen will report from the sideline.

This season will be NBC’s 35th covering Notre Dame football. Hicks has been the primary play-by-play broadcaster in five of those previous seasons, including 2024, when he returned to the Notre Dame Stadium booth for the first time since 2016. He previously called games as the primary play-by-play man from 2013-2016. He was also a fill-in for Tom Hammond during the 2011 and 2012 seasons

Meanwhile, Eagle and Blackledge have been on the headset for three Irish home games: Florida State vs. No. 10 Notre Dame (2024), No. 19 Army vs. No. 6 Notre Dame (2024) and No. 6 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Notre Dame (2023). Eagle also broadcasted the Navy vs. No. 13 Notre Dame game in Ireland in 2023 alongside Garrett. Eagle and Blackledge joined NBC Sports in 2023 when they began broadcasting Big Ten games following the network’s seven-year television deal with the conference.
