2020 quarterback Jack Miller: Why I'm choosing to commit to Ohio State

by:Jack Miller07/01/18

Jack Miller is the country’s third-ranked pro-style quarterback prospect in the Class of 2020. On Sunday, July 1, he made his college decision and shared his thoughts on that choice with Lettermen Row.

This wasn’t as easy as many people thought, but after countless hours of conversation with my family and the people I’m closest with, I’m extremely excited to announce that I am an Ohio State Buckeye. I would like to thank Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior for blessing me and giving me the talents I’ve been given and my parents for always supporting me, sacrificing so much time for me and this dream. I also want to thank all my coaches for teaching me and helping me grow as a player and a man. I can’t and won’t forget my teammates, either, they’ve always made me look good. I couldn’t have been in this position without all your love and support.

Why am I picking the Buckeyes?

Ohio State has always felt like home to me, and I have had a great feeling about it since the first time I visited last June. I chose Ohio State because of how comfortable I am there and the confidence that I have with the coaching staff. I believe there is no better choice for me and my personal growth, not only on the field but off the field, than Ohio State.

I have seen a lot of other schools in the last two years and I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given, but Columbus and with the Buckeyes is the only place I want to be.

My commitment is 100-percent, and my recruiting will be shut down to all schools except for Ohio State. I’m all in and now that I’m committed the work won’t stop. I know it’s actually just starting. It’s just going to make me want to work even harder to be the best player I can possibly be, competing for playing time right when I step on campus.

The work I am going to do isn’t just on the field. I’m going to be busy recruiting the best players in the country to come join Jake, Lejond, Paris and myself. We will have the best recruiting class in the nation and we’re going to work nonstop to make Buckeye nation proud of who we are on the field and off.

Let’s go Bucks!
