COLUMBUS — For those about to rock, prepare for the Horseshoe. AC/DC, one of the most recognizable and iconic rock bands of the last century, will take the stage and have the honor of packing out the Horseshoe on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 7 p.m.

It’s all part of the AC/DC tour that includes stops in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and the United States. They’re playing college football venues such as Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana; Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin; and the Horseshoe in Columbus.

AC/DC will let there be rock for the first time at Ohio Stadium since Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard played the venue on Aug. 8, 2023.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the general public Nov. 7 at 10 a.m., according to the band’s official website.

This is part of a three-concert series at Ohio Stadium in 2026. It begins on Saturday, April 25, when Luke Combs brings his ‘My Kinda Saturday Night Tour’ to the Horseshoe, which will also feature Ty Myers and Dierks Bentley.

The venue will host Buckeye Country Superfest on June 13, when country artist Tyler Childers headlines an all-day music event at the Horseshoe that will also feature the Red Clay Strays. That’s an annual one-day country festival that has been taking place inside the Horseshoe since 2015.

Bands have been playing at Ohio Stadium since 1969, when The Who played in the venue. Other notable artists who have played in the Horseshoe include The Beach Boys, Elton John, Gordon Lightfoot, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Billy Joel, U2, The Rolling Stones twice, George Straight three times, Kenny Chesney multiple times, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, One Direction, Luke Bryan, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band — among others.

Now AC/DC will become the next iconic name in music to play at the Horseshoe. They’re expected to be in Ohio Stadium next summer.

Ohio State will host seven homes games as part of its 2026 college football schedule next season. The home games include matchups against Ball State on Sept. 5 and Kent State on Sept. 19, as well as a Big Ten slate that features matchups against Oregon, Northwestern, Maryland, Illinois and Michigan. Dates haven’t been revealed yet for the Big Ten matchups, but those are the seven Ohio State home games for next fall.
