COLUMBUS — Ohio State is still No. 1 in college football in the latest AP Poll following a win over Michigan in The Game.

The Buckeyes have been at the top of the poll since their win over Texas in the opening weekend of the season. And now they will face Indiana, who has been No. 2 in the AP Poll since week nine, in the conference championship game.

For what it’s worth, the top five is rounded out by Georgia, Oregon and Texas Tech.

Other Big Ten teams that are ranked following the conclusion of the regular season are Indiana, Oregon, USC and Michigan.

Ohio State received 61 first-place votes, up from what it received last week and its most of the season as the grip on the top spot is continuing to hold steady. Other first-place votes went to Georgia and Indiana. No other program received any first-place votes in the latest AP Poll.

Indiana, which Ohio State will face in the Big Ten Championship game, also stood pat at No. 2 in the latest AP Poll following its 56-3 win over in-state rival Purdue. Now it is officially a top-2 matchup between the top-ranked Buckeyes and second-ranked Hoosiers on Saturday afternoon in Lucas Oil Stadium with another trophy on the line.
