AP Poll: Buckeyes enter November as No. 1 team in latest Top 25

COLUMBUS — Ohio State is entering the final month of the regular season as the top-ranked team in the latest Associated Press Top 25. The Buckeyes remained No. 1 in the latest AP Poll.
After a shutout win over Wisconsin on the road, the Buckeyes were off for the weekend, as were their next opponent, the Penn State Nittany Lions. And following a weekend full of crazy college football action, the Buckeyes are still on top of the poll. They’re followed by Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia to round out the top five.
Other Big Ten teams that are ranked heading into November are Indiana, Oregon, Michigan and USC.
Ohio State received 54 first-place votes, up from what it received last week as the grip on the top spot is continuing to hold steady. Other first-place votes went to Indiana and Texas A&M. No other program received any first-place votes in the latest AP Poll.
Michigan, which Ohio State will face on the final week of the regular season, crept up the rankings again after a win over Michigan State on the road in a huge rivalry game. Penn State entered the season as the No. 2 team in the AP Poll but has lost four straight games and is no longer in the College Football Playoff hunt, but it’s likely that the Nittany Lions will give the Buckeyes an incredible test next weekend inside the Horseshoe.
