COLUMBUS — Ohio State landed one of the top 2027 offensive linemen in the midwest.

The Buckeyes have received a commitment from three-star St. Clairsville (Ohio) offensive lineman Mason Wilt on Sunday. Wilt chose Ohio State over offers from Florida State, North Carolina, Penn State and others.

Ohio State offered the 6-foot-4.5, 290-pound Wilt following a strong camp performance this summer. He also has been a top target for offensive line coach Tyler Bowen ever since.

Wilt is the No. 510 overall prospect and No. 41 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class, according the Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Wilt as the No. 41 interior offensive lineman and No. 19 prospect in Ohio next cycle.

Mason Wilt joins five-star Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne wide receiver Jamier Brown and four-star Huntington Beach (Calif.) quarterback Brady Edmunds in Ohio State’s offensive recruiting class next cycle. Brown is the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the Rivals Industry Rankings. As for Edmunds, he is the No. 106 overall prospect and No. 10 quarterback in the country in the Rivals Industry Rankings.

The Buckeyes also have a commitment from three-star Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep athlete Angelo Smith on the defensive side of the ball. He is the younger brother of Ohio State star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
