BREAKING: Ohio State flips in-state OT Landry Brede from NC State
COLUMBUS – Ohio State has added to its highly-touted 2026 recruiting class.
Three-star Mentor (Ohio) offensive lineman Landry Brede has flipped his commitment from NC State to Ohio State. Brede had been committed to the Wolfpack since the summer but the Buckeyes offered in September and were able to keep him home.
Landry Brede is the No. 1069 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals has an 88 rating on Brede which makes him a high tier three-star. He is the No. 45 offensive tackle and No. 26 prospect in Ohio, per Rivals.
Brede joins four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer, four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley, three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle Aaron Thomas and three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner offensive lineman Tucker Smith. Brede, Riley and Greer are three of the top offensive linemen in the midwest, let alone Ohio.
