BREAKING: Ohio State lands in-state offensive tackle Sam Greer

COLUMBUS — Offensive line coach Tyler Bowen has his second big recruiting win since arriving at Ohio State.
Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer has committed to the Buckeyes over Missouri. The 6-foot-8, 290-pound Greer also held scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Miami and Penn State.
Greer is the No. 148 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry ranking. He ranks as the No. 14 offensive tackle prospect and No. 6 prospect in Ohio. On3 ranks Greer as the No. 99 overall prospect and No. 12 offensive tackle in the 2026 On300.

Greer is the sixth commitment for Ryan Day and Ohio State in the 2026 class. He joins a class that includes four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley, four-star Avon (Ohio) cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon and three-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts as in the in-state commitments.
The Buckeyes also have Five-Star Plus+ Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School and tight end Corbyn Fordham committed from outside of Ohio.
