BREAKING: Top-200 defensive lineman Damari Simeon commits to Ohio State

COLUMBUS — Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson has another big recruiting win in the 2026 class.

Four-star Egg Harbor Township (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep defensive lineman Damari Simeon has committed to the Buckeyes over Penn State and Texas. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound Simeon also took an official visit toMichigan in June.

On3 ranks Simeon the No. 65 overall prospect and No. 7 defensive lineman in the 2026 On300. Simeon ranks as the No. 189 overall prospect and No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Simeon is the 18th commitment for Ohio State in the 2026 class. He joins four-star Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra defensive lineman Khary Wilder in Buckeyes the defensive line class.

Defensively, the Buckeyes also have has four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville linebacker Cincere Johnson and four-star Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy linebacker CJ Sanna committed on the second-level.

Four-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic safety Blaine Bradford, four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell, four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic athlete Jordan Thomas and four-star Avon (Ohio) cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon make up the secondary class for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State also has strong four-man wide receiver class. Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. is the headliner. The Buckeyes also have Four-star Inglewood (Calif) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd in the fold.

Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer, four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley, three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle Aaron Thomas and three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner offensive lineman Tucker Smith make up Ohio State’s offensive line class.

Three-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School tight end Corbyn Fordham rounds out the offensive class for the Buckeyes.
