Fantasy football: Evan Spencer picks his top-5 NFL wide receivers
We are back for part two of our fantasy football series.
Today we are taking a look at the top wide receivers available this year, and as usual at Lettermen Row, we’re relying on our Ohio State Lettermen and their expertise to make the right picks. So for this loaded, critical position, Evan Spencer was the logical candidate to break down the leading options and select his top-five targets for the season.
One intriguing pick is another former Ohio State wideout, Michael Thomas — who once upon a time formed a pretty lethal combination with Spencer in a Sugar Bowl victory. He is entering his third season for the New Orleans Saints. Last year Thomas caught 104 balls for 1,245 yards and 5 touchdowns.
How high will “Can’t Guard Mike” come off the board? Hey, those projections are all the fun, and we are all about finding some different ways to have some in addition to covering Ohio State.

There might even be some ways to match wits with our Ohio State Lettermen in the works, and we’re also planning a fantasy football league with our reporting staff and those former Buckeyes that at least should promise some entertainment and bragging rights on the site.
Don’t worry: In no way is this going to slow us down from providing the absolute best content about the Buckeyes that we can provide. But we also like to keep it light and enjoy ourselves along the way, and we’re thrilled to have Byers Auto along for the ride with us already.
