Lorenzo Styles Jr. injury update: Buckeyes nickel back in action for Wisconsin game

Spencer-Holbrookby: Spencer Holbrook10/18/25SpencerHolbrook

MADISON, Wis. — Ohio State starting nickel cornerback Lorenzo Styles Jr. missed last weekend’s win at Illinois with an undisclosed injury.

It appears that Styles Jr. will be available for the Buckeyes on Saturday afternoon when they take on Wisconsin in Madison. Styles Jr. is not listed on the official Ohio State availability report that was released ahead of kickoff (3:30 p.m., CBS).

Ohio State defensive tackle Eddrick Houston also missed last week’s game at Illinois, and he is also absent from the availability report for the Wisconsin game, signaling that he could return to action on Saturday, as well.

The Buckeyes were fine without Lorenzo Styles Jr. and Houston last weekend, downing then-No. 17 Illinois 34-16. And in their place, other players emerged. But now both will be back to make this Ohio State defense closer to full strength in Madison a week before the idle weekend for the Buckeyes.

The full availability report from the program is now confirmed, making note that Ohio State doesn’t detail injury or disciplinary matters.
