Buckeyes sending 15 players to NFL Scouting Combine
COLUMBUS — Ohio State officially has a chance to make NFL Draft history this spring, and the Buckeyes are sending an impressive group to the NFL Scouting Combine in the first big step in that process.
A total of 15 Buckeyes players were invited to the NFL Combine, which will take place later this month in Indianapolis. Ironically, that’s the same number of draft picks that Georgia had in 2022 — the record for most players drafted from one school in a single draft.
Of course, Ohio State has the most players invited to the combine of any program. That’s more than Georgia and Texas, which each will have 14 players, Oregon with 13, Ole Miss and South Carolina with 11, Miami and Alabama with 10, Michigan with nine, and then Notre Dame and LSU, which each have eight invitees. Ohio State beat the Fighting Irish, Ducks and Longhorns on their way to the national title, showing how talented the teams that Ohio State beat along the way to the title were this past season.

The list of Ohio State players invited to the combine are a trio of potential first-round picks in wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, offensive tackle Josh Simmons and offensive tackle Donovan Jackson, quarterback Will Howard, running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson, center Seth McLaughlin, defensive tackles Tyleik Williams and Ty Hamilton, linebacker and captain Cody Simon, defensive ends Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimolaou, cornerback Denzel Burke, defensive back Jordan Hancock and safety Lathan Ransom.
Notable Buckeyes who weren’t invited to the combine include tight end Gee Scott Jr. and offensive tackle Josh Fryar, who can still wow pro scouts and administrators with a good showing at Ohio State pro day.
