Ohio State practice photos as Buckeyes grind toward first scrimmage
COLUMBUS — Another practice come, another practice gone for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes were back it on Tuesday morning, avoiding the expected thunderstorms and wet weather that would have forced them to practice inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for the first time ahead of the 2021 season. It’s a big week for the Ohio State program as the team put on full pads for Tuesday’s practice ahead of Wednesday’s first fall scrimmage. That will be one of two scrimmages this week for the Buckeyes.
And the first chance to get back to some good, old-fashioned hitting.
“I think that Wednesday will be a big day,” Ryan Day said Monday. “Saturday will be a big day.”
Every day that Ohio State is able to get on the field is a big day, especially after last season’s insanity. The Buckeyes are working toward Minnesota and the season-opening date with the Gophers is now just under three weeks away.
