Buckeyes open as massive road favorite for trip to Wisconsin

COLUMBUS — Ohio State will head to Madison, Wisconsin, this weekend to face the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday.

The Buckeyes will do so as a 27.5-point favorite, according to the folks at BetMGM. The total has been set at 41.5 points for the 3:30 p.m. CBS kickoff between the No. 1 Buckeyes and the Badgers.

Wisconsin is coming off an ugly 37-0 loss to Iowa at home, while the Buckeyes are fresh off a 34-16 win over Illinois on the road. This will be just the third road game for Ohio State this season, and it’s the second leg of a back-to-back road stretch before the Buckeyes have their second idle week.

Ohio State has won 10 straight over the Wisconsin Badgers.

+ Ohio State is 5-1 against the spread this season. The Buckeyes covered against Texas, Grambling State, Washington, Minnesota and Illinois but failed to cover the spread by 0.5 points against Ohio.
+ Wisconsin is 2-4 against the spread so far this season.
