Ohio State flips in-state tight end Nick Lautar from Louisville

COLUMBUS — Flipmas continues on for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have flipped three-star tight end Nick Lautar from Louisville. Lautar, a Lebanon (Ohio) standout, had been committed to the Cardinals since June. Ohio State offered on Saturday, however, and he quickly jumped on the opportunity. Lautar was in Columbus for the UCLA game, which was his second visit of the season. He was also visited the Ohio game.
Tights coach Keenan Bailey now has a tight end committed in the 2026 class. He had been evaluating several in-state prospects after three-star Corbyn Fordham flipped to Florida State in October. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Lautar was the player he zeroed in on and he is a Buckeye.
Nick Lautar ranks as the No. 947 overall prospect and No. 62 tight end in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Rivals has Lautar ranked as the No. 78 tight end in the country this cycle.
