Ohio State flips legacy offensive lineman Mason Wilhelm from North Carolina

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has pulled off another flip in the 2026 class.

Three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive lineman Mason Wilhelm has flipped from North Carolina to Ohio State.

Ohio State now has five offensive linemen committed in the 2026 class following the commitment of Mason Wilhelm. Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer, four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner offensive lineman Tucker Smith, three-star Mentor (Ohio) offensive lineman Landry Brede and Wilhelm make up the class for first-year offensive line coach Tyler Bowen.

Ohio State also got off to a strong start with offensive line recruiting in the 2027 class over the weekend. Four-star Liberty Center (Ohio) offensive lineman Kellen Wymer and three-star St. Clairsville (Ohio) offensive lineman Mason Wilt both committed to the Buckeyes following their visits for the Penn State game.
